Mom's Day

I guess the greatest gift I could have is my husband and my kids. Yesterday was proof of that. They all tried so hard to make my day special. I received many homemade cards which I treasure, and I even got a hug from my 13 year old son. My husband cooked for the whole family and every one really enjoyed it.

But I guess the best part of the day came from my middle son Demetrius. We we're on our way to church and out of nowhere he started to tell how thankful he was for all the things I do for him. Nobody prompted him to do it. He just did. That's what made it so memorable.

I also very thankful for my Mom. I probably don't tell her enough, but she is the best. She has always been there for me, through just about everything. And she even helps me with my own kids.

So, I continue to be thankful for all the wonderful people that surround me every day. I hope that I never take them for granted.
