Family Matters

I know I have been guilty of it many times. When something is going wrong the first people we take it out on is the people closest to us: our family. Why is that? I still haven't put my finger on it. I guess we think it's okay because they are family. But after I take it out on them, I feel horrible. And I have to apologize immediately.Sometimes we can be nicer to strangers than we are our own family. Maybe it has to do with self image, or trying to make a good impression.

I'm really trying not to say things hurtful to my family when things are going wrong. And I've come to the conclusion, it really makes matters worse if I lash out at them. After all, if we love our family, this is the perfect opportunity to show it.
