I'm sure we all have one certain thing that makes me happy. I guess my biggest one is to have the house clean and all the laundry done. But that is something that is continual, so that will probably never happen. (Ha!)
I guess what I'm getting at is something more than just superficial. Although I like many things, or hobbies, such as scrapbooking, new projects at home, etc., I think there is something in all of us, a drive, to find the ultimate happiness. Sure, all those other things are nice, but what truly makes you happy.
For me, it's that feeling when you know you've done the right thing in the midst of opposition. It's that feeling when you see your kids really work hard for something and get what they have been striving for. It's that feeling when you know someone truly loves you even with all your hangups, and faults. It's the feeling of knowing God is near and loves you.
It is so easy to forget what truly makes us happy. Our lives are constantly about other things that "just don't matter". If I can ever truly get that concept in my mind, I believe I can keep remembering what truly makes me happy.
