One Last Hurrah

Wow! I can't believe it's been so long since I blogged. Time has certainly got away from me!

We took the kids to Chickasaw State Park this weekend for "one last hurrah" before school started. I didn't know how they would do "roughing it." But they acutally did better than us grown ups. We went horseback riding, swam in the the lake, went paddle boating, and fishing and feed the ducks which we affectionately named one AFLAC. We took a lot of food and cooked all our meals. We grilled out mainly. We really had a great time. We didn't do a whole lot, but just enjoyed hanging out together and had some great talks with the boys. We roasted marshmellows each night and sat around and talked. I actually had time to sit and enjoy God's creation. I really enjoyed that. We defintely want to make this a summer tradition.
