Growing Up

It's hit me hard the past couple of days; growing up is not just hard for kids, but it's hard on the parents as well.

The first few years, I don't think you deal with as much. Most of time they are with you and totally dependent on you. But when they hit a certain age, it begins to change.

Recently, I 've seen my kids having to deal with situations. My first reaction is to go and take care of it for them. I guess that's an instint of a parent. But, what I'm realizing is I can't fix it for them. All I can do is be there for them and pray for them. I can remember having to do this myself, and yep, my parents let me learn it for myself. I think it built character in me. I hope it will build character and many other good traits in my kids.
