Joseph, my seven year old, asked me yesterday to tell him a story of when I was little. I didn't think much of it. So, I thought of one of when my Dad took me the the creek and I swam and played in it. You had thought I had told Joseph the most incredible story ever!! And then it hit me. Our children want to hear stories about our childhood. They want to know that we were kids too just like them. They want to identify with us. So, before I he went to bed, I told him another. He just smiled and said thanks Mom. What a valuable lesson I learned through the eyes of my son.
