Are you listening?

So, I answer the phone the other day with the proper protocol, and the person on the other phone proceeds to talk about something concerning insurance. She thought that I worked at an insurance company, which I do not. Then, I literally had to stop her and say, Just a minute, we are not an insurance company. It happened at home too. Someone called our home, and thought we were Subway and proceeded to order Subs. I also had to stop her too and tell her we were not Subway. What is with people these days? Have we forgotten how to listen? I really try to listen when someone is speaking, although I'm still working on it. I know I'm guilty of thinking what I want to say before they finish sometimes, but that's not really important. What's important is to listen. Isn't that why we have two ears and only one mouth?
