Proud

Last night for the first time I really felt proud. Of course, I've heard it lot over my lifetime....."I'm so proud of you." But last night was a very special night. Demetrius, my middle son, got to pitch in a state baseball tournament. I was overwhelmed with emotion and of course, being very proud. He did a terrific job. After the game, I went up to him and said those famous words.."I'm so very proud of you." He couldn't stop smiling. I think I finally know what a parent feels when their child does something great!!
I'm still proud of him no matter what, and I hope that I have instilled that in him. But it sure is nice to have others see what a great kid I have!!
